Project Proposal:

"The short view of any persistent problem will inevitably lead us to craft solutions that reinforces the problem. That is the intractable nature of persistent issues. We usually do not know that we are being led on. We even lead ourselves to believe that we did it."

1. Executive Summary:
In today's agricultural landscape, many solutions aimed at enhancing food production inadvertently exacerbate the challenges of climate stability which inevitably wipe out the gains we make in food production. It's easy to stay trapped in these cycles and continue to reinforce the same solutions when we lack a comprehensive understanding of the systemic implications at play. Our intention was never to fall into them. Yet, without uncovering and comprehending the inherent nature of systemic structures, we unwittingly navigate ourselves and stay trapped in these challenges. This project proposal seeks to employ systems thinking approach and archetypal analysis to uncover and understand the systemic nature of current status of global food production practices while still improving climatic, environment and soil fertility conditions. By identifying and addressing the archetypes that perpetuate degenerative behaviours, this project aims to pave the way for a more generative future in food agricultural production across the globe. 2. 4. Expected Outcomes:
5. Budget: Allocate resources for systems thinking experts, archetypal analysts, stakeholder engagement activities, data collection tools, and the development of a comprehensive report. 6. Timeline: The project is expected to span three years, with dedicated phases for systems thinking analysis, archetypal identification, impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, and recommendation formulation. 7. Partnerships: Forge collaborations with leading systems thinking institutions, agricultural research organizations, and international bodies to ensure the project's success and broad impact. 8. Conclusion: This project offers a unique opportunity to employ cutting-edge methodologies to understand and transform global food production. By applying systems thinking and archetypal analysis, we aim to uncover hidden patterns and pave the way for a more sustainable and regenerative agricultural future. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to discuss this proposal further and explore potential collaborations to address the critical challenges facing global food production. We hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to you as a distinguished participant in the upcoming "Systems Analysis of Global Food Production: Towards Generative Agriculture" project.
Building upon the success and insights gained from the Generative Aqua-Agri Systems and Healthy Foods of 2019 initiative, we are excited to fast forward and invite you to be a part of this global study groundbreaking in many ways. For more details of the project, will you refer to the project proposal below. The project is set to be a collaborative effort with esteemed institutional bodies such as BRICS or the G-20 and the United Nations, underlining the importance and impact of the work we are about to embark upon.
Objective and Scope: The objective of this project is to conduct a comprehensive systems analysis of global food production, aimed at the development and promotion of generative agricultural practices. We believe fostering a fair to good understanding of the five disciplines and with having oversight of global agriculture production systems, we can collectively work towards understand what will take us to generative agricultural systems.
Qualities Sought: At this stage of the project, we are seeking individuals who are part of global institutional bodies to be the owner of the project and who possess the following qualities. Should you know someone who fits the bill, will you reach out to your Contact Person?
- Fair to Good Understanding of the Five Disciplines: A foundational understanding of the five disciplines - Systems Thinking, Personal Mastery, Mental Models, Building Shared Vision, and Team Learning.
- Oversight of Global Agriculture Production: Individuals who hold a key role or responsibility in overseeing global agriculture production, contributing valuable insights to the study, and is resolving the tension between climate, land degradation, environment, demographics, economics, food demand and production. The study says that all of these goals can exist and not necessarily at the expense of each other and that they evolve and improve with time.
- Authority to Become the Project Owner: Persons who have, or know someone with, the authority to become the owner of the project, ensuring strategic alignment and commitment.
- Facilitation of Access to Country-by-Country Data: Individuals capable of facilitating access to country-by-country data, a crucial component for the success of the project.
- Willingness to Co-develop Strategies: Individuals willing to actively engage and co-develop strategies with their country representatives, fostering collaboration and collective problem-solving.
Next Steps: As a participant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global agriculture. For more details of the roles, will you refer to the Letter of Introduction here (scroll below). We kindly request you to confirm your participation and availability for an initial meeting on [Proposed Meeting Date] to discuss project timelines, expectations, and further details.
Your expertise and commitment to the success of this project are highly valued. We look forward to your participation and contributions.
Please feel free to reach out to your Contact Person for any clarification or additional information.
Once again, welcome to the Systems Analysis of Global Food Production Project. Together, we will make a lasting impact on the future of agriculture.
